Ia mtold that the output files are absent: Primes_64420859_plus_500_1426216657_7874_5_0 for task Primes_64420859_plus_500_1426216657_7874_5 absent

Is that something I can do about as a number of WU's are reported as: "Computation errors".

Why so many errors now, project was much more stable earlier?

The numbers got large, but I fixed it now. Be sure that you have the latest download.

Same here, more than 50% Error's, waste of time really ...

Please do not detach while we are addressing these bugs. We have rolled back to the earlier more stable version that used more memory.

The V280 app seems much more stable than the V270. So far my error rate is dropping like a stone from 40% to almost 0. Good work.

So far I don't really see any difference, what don't error out just gets marked Invalid even if they finish, I only have 1 Windows 7 Box out of 19 that will run the Wu's without error or having them marked Invalid so it's NNW for me ... Valid (5038) · Invalid (3070) · Error (8085) more than a 66% Failure Rate, I have other Projects to run that run successfully without error ...

Please upgrade to version 29. We are not seeing any errors at all with that one.

On the other side of the fence, I am not having any problems. Except for a single "validation inconclusive"...I am running Win 7 the other task, from lionelc no less, is on Win 8.

I concur with STE\/E's comment "Upgrade how, I just run what the Project sends me ..." Daniel, Boinc in general is supposed to automatically download the most recent app. Only for anonymous_platform would someone need to download the most recent app (e.g. SETI/SETI Beta).

Back to scratching my head...It seems like there is some sort of platform/os specific coding in the current version. And I am lucky my machine matches Daniels setup whereas STE\/E's and lionelc's do not.

Our validator now ignores DOS versus Unix end of line differences as of a few minutes ago using the script_validator with "diff --ignore-all-space" (duh). We were using sample_bitwise_validator which invalidated any DOS-Unix comparison. Version 29 has had a very low error rate over the last 24 hours (see below) after excluding user aborts, started late, aborted by project (see below). Compute errors remain high due to results still arriving from pre-29 versions. The results suggest that clients take a while to update to the latest version (until workunits are exhausted?); the upgrade can be forced by detaching and reattaching, and possibly by "Project Commands, Update". We could also invalidate all in progress work units but decided not to do that. We seem to be having more problems with our download being flagged by anti-virus programs. We are appealing these with the companies and "reputation" of version 29 will improve the more often it is downloaded. Thanks for your patience and please keep reporting errors!
