So far I have not run across a project like this before. I am getting everything I have ever seen before when I look at my task list. Task - Error, Completed and validated, completed pending validation, completed and can not be validated....etc:. I have been trying to run this project for about a week. I am aware this is not very long. I have completed more than enough tasks I think I should have way more credit then I now have. Tasks seem to run to 100% completion.
I look at the activity log and all I see is "Reported 1 completed task". Nothing about a finished file or saying anything about an upload. They just
seem to go into a Black Hole Of some kind. I have reset the project twice with no change. I look at my list of tasks and numbers don't seem to change at all.

I am not ready to give up. How ever I think I am missing something or have an issue I have never seen before. In looking around I noticed the tasks take up way more memory than any other bionic project. Just a note about that this does not affect my system.
Thanks for any help...........I very much want to understand what is going on.
Any enlightenment would be most appreciated.

I'm sorry I did not respond earlier. I am actively maintaining the project now that school has started again. Version 31 seems to have fixed the computational error because it uses half as much memory. The problem with old version was that each copy of the program running took up about 2 gigabytes of RAM, given the size of primes that are being checked. Now each copy takes up 1 gigabyte. The program takes up a lot of RAM because it creates a large array with about 250 million entries for primes that are about 250 million.

No, it didn't. The same error (invalid values in output) is present in version 31, too.

Try changing the View to Advanced View, and then change Computing Preferences, Disk and memory, under Memory, enter 30 or 40 percent for "When computer is in use, use at most" and "When computer is not in use, use at most".

I have 8 cores and 16GB of RAM. 2 cores are reserved for the GPU. How is cutting down on the usage going to help. I already have it at 50% when in use and 90% when not. So how doe 6 cores use 90% of my ram cause the WU's to fail.

Hi Daniel,
Good to see you are back. I had to laugh a little I told someone else on here give the Kid a break...likely off for the summer. Anyway I can give you a hand with your project if you can start it working again for Windows Interface.
I quit on you a while back...BUT have been checking back once in a while to see if your project is back alive. I think lots of others have and will do the same thing. I have not tried your recommendations yet. But I will stay with you. We shall see what happens.
Hope You had a nice summer...

Version 31 has fixed most of the errors I was getting. Some still fail but the bulk of them finish now. One item of note my memory settings are : 50 percent for "When computer is in use, use at most" and "When computer is not in use, use 90 percent. I have had it set the way for a very long time.

Windows Home Premium 32 bit, 3 Gig's of RAM.

I can do that, but I tell you in advance it won't change anything. With more that 4GB memory, I let only one 123numbers task running at a time, and I had no other tasks running while testing.

Be careful, if it uses 90% of your memory when it's not in use, then when you start using it, the BOINC client pauses it but does not release the RAM.

From my POV, I have Win 7 & 4G RAM.
I use 70% whether in use or not, and use the % cpu used by other apps to determine when to switch. I have had no troubles recently.
I'm just waiting for wingmen :)
p.s. 2 cores & it works with 2 results simultaneously.
